Fresh off being named the laziest city in America, Boca Raton continues to makes its presence felt throughout South Florida after holding the annual Boca Bash last weekend. Judging from the slew of pictures flooding Instagram it would appear the event includes an alcohol-infused orgy a few boats and hours of quiet fishing out on Lake Boca. This event is very similar to Miami Columbus Day Regatta in that in brings out thousands of locals and the big boy yachts all fixed on having as much care free fun as possible before the sun sets along the beautiful Florida coast. In Miami the ocean voyage ends with a pretty decent fireworks show.

7. Floatopia – Santa Monica & Miami

This very unique and somewhat ingenious concept started in Southern California amongst spring breakers before making its way to Miami. College students would gather by the thousands with large floats or inflatables to gain bragging rights of having the coolest floats, of course we cannot exclude the alcohol and the fact that it is FREE to enter. In fact the founder of this gathering describes the event as social experiment to see how social media could be used to spread awareness and explore the viral nature of something enjoyable. This beach event brings the child out in all of us. Check out our inflatables before you go 🙂

Fistral Beach is where the surfers and skaters compete, and Watergate Bay is Nixon’s final resting place. Just kidding — Watergate Bay is where there’s quality music, food and drink, and even gnarly amusement park rides. Whether you want to shake it or skate it, there’s a beach party here for that.
